Don't miss out on this interweb conversation with Gordon Shadrach!
I saw this man make a beeline to my booth with this huge smile on his face and the first words out of his mouth were ‘I see myself in that painting’
This Tuesday, we will be hosting a conversation with Toronto-based artist, Gordon Shadrach, taking a look at his early works, the inspirations behind his portraits, as well as sharing pieces from his recent solo show Net Worth, at United Contemporary!
Gordon is known for his stunning Victorian- era and traditional portraiture work, which often explores themes of Black masculinity and examines the symbolism of clothing and its impact on depictions of Blackness.
This is a conversation you do not want to miss! Catch us on Zoom at 7pm!
