Kick-start a career in Interior Design!
Black By Design: Finishing Touches is a 10-week intensive program rooted in skill-building and mentorship. Dedicated to educating Black youth and students with knowledge and confidence to pursue a career in design.
Interior Design is a multifaceted industry that focuses on conceptualizing and producing aesthetic, functional, and safe designs for interior spaces. As a growing industry, Black By Design: Finishing Touches was created to support the increasing demand for Interior Designers in the GTA. As a growing industry, this occupational group will face labour shortages over the period 2019-2028. According to Job Bank Canada, between 2019 and 2028, Canada is expecting a total of 11,900 job openings.
This program will develop strong pathways to this high-opportunity career, provide access to a safe space, a culturally relevant curriculum, and access to software and equipment.
Registration Closes December 5th
