Black By Design: From the Ground Up is a 10 week program, where Black youth will explore architecture as more than buildings and blueprints, it’s a creative, cultural, and community-centred practice. Through case studies, site exploration, discussions, and hands-on design activities, participants will examine how Toronto’s built environment shapes identity, history, and belonging.

From questioning who our cities are designed for to imagining more equitable and inclusive spaces, Black By Design: From the Ground Up puts the power of design into the hands of the next generation.
