Interior Design is a fast growing industry that is always seeking new aesthetics, concepts and creative visions. Now, more than ever, there is an interest in Black designers who can create aesthetic, functional and culturally relevant spaces in Toronto.

Black By Design is a 2-year program that is rooted in skill building and mentorship. This program is dedicated to educating Black youth with the grounding and skill needed to pursue a career in design.

The program will be offered in two streams:

In Stream A for Highschool Students, participants will learn the basics of designing and planning spaces, receive hands-on training and find a mentor who can help guide them through the field.

In Stream B for Post-Secondary students, participants will have access to sought-after software, develop ‘hard’ skills and the chance to expand your professional networks through events, opportunities and mentorship.

Because this is an intensive program, applicants are highly encouraged to join our virtual info session on March 21st at 5PM EST to get a full sense of the commitment.
