Recognizing the vital role that purchasing artwork plays in advancing the artistic careers and businesses of Black artists, we are bringing back our one of a kind Art Fair! A Black Art Fair provides Black Canadian Artists the platform to sell their artworks.

Submission Guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking original works of art in a variety of mediums that celebrate and highlight Black artistic expression. We welcome submissions of both individual and collaborative pieces that have been completed within the last five years. Priority will be given to wall-based art, but all mediums are encouraged (including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc.).

Who can submit

This call is open to all Black Canadian artists aged 18 and older.

Type of Artwork we’re looking for

Mediums: All artistic mediums are accepted, but we will prioritize wall-based art for display purposes.
Originality: Entries must be original in concept, composition, and execution. Works must not infringe on any copyrights or the intellectual property of others.
Artwork Specifications: Submissions must be completed works, not conceptual ideas or works in progress.

Submitted pieces can be individual or collaborative work.

Additional Information

Selected artists will be notified by October 25, 2024.
Artwork must be ready for display (i.e., framed or mounted where applicable).
Artists are responsible for shipping or delivering their work to the Centre
Sales: If your artwork is for sale, please include the price in your submission. A small commission fee will be applied to all sold works during the fair.
