CHMSTRY: Songwriting Camp & Showcase is an intensive songwriting camp designed for emerging music artists and songwriters. This eight-session camp will run bi-weekly offering a comprehensive exploration of various songwriting tools and techniques where participants will learn the art of crafting a song from start to finish.

Through the camp, participants will delve into different aspects of songwriting including lyrical composition, genres and their nuances, melody development and production. The participants will gain insights from music artist Chmst, and other industry professionals who will guide them through the development of their songs.

CHMSTRY will culminate in a dynamic showcase event, where each participant will have the opportunity to perform their original songs created during the camp. These performances will be accompanied by a live band consisting of 4-7 musicians.

CHMSTRY will run bi-weekly on Mondays starting on September 16th, 5pm – 8pm

Session Details

Monday September 16th | Introduction to Sound

Introduction to each artists sound. all artists, producers, and musicians will be able to share  their music and speak on their experience and creation process.

Monday September 30th | Genres and Sonics

We will explore the genres that each artist identifies with and study professionals who have developed in those genres

Monday October 7th | Songwriting and Production

We will study and explore examples of innovative production; how to song write with your production.

Monday October 21st | Collaboration and Songwriting
Monday October 28th | Recording vs Performance

You will learn the difference between performing live and recording songs in the studio. they will learn how to best prepare for both and how to write songs to enable an authentic performance.

Monday November 11th | Mixing and Mastering

We will examine mixing and mastering, exploring the different techniques and equipment

Monday November 25th | Recording Sessions

The final two sessions will be devoted to recording the artists original songs.

You will have an hour out of every session minimum to explore new ideas and write original songs.

 

Monday December 9th | Recording Session

The final two sessions will be devoted to recording the artists original songs.

You will have an hour out of every session minimum to explore new ideas and write original songs.
