Many artists are experiencing financial hardships, from cancellations artist contracts, shows, as well as the loss of employment both within and outside of the arts & cultural sector due to the widespread of COVID-19 pandemic. It can be an overwhelming time with the quick changes being made to the Employment Insurance program and other funding benefits.

Co-founder and President of the Afro-Caribbean Business Network, Ryan Knight, alongside Kevin Ormsby, Co-Chair of our Board, will lead a webinar to provide information and guidance on applying for EI and CERB.

They provide a step-by-step walk through for artists who are considering applying for the program and will provide more information on;

  • Eligibility status- who can apply for the program?
  • The information and documents needed to apply
  • How to gain access to the online portal, including Government of Canada Sign-In Partners, GCKey, etc.
