Learn more about the Explore & Create funding program with the Canada Council for the Arts
Have questions about the application process for Canada Council for the Arts funding? Need support in setting up a profile? This info session is for you!
The Canada Council for the Arts’ Explore & Create funding program supports artists in pursuing research & development and the creation of new artistic works across a variety of disciplines, as well as professional development towards your artistic practice. There are four steams within the Explore & Create program:
New funding from the government has allowed the Canada Council for the Arts to inject $66 million into the Research and Creation and Concept to Realization components of the Explore & Create program. Due to these recent investments, now is a great time to consider submitting an application to the Explore & Create program to receive funding towards your artistic practice.
We will be hosting a presentation with the Canada Council for the Arts an in-depth info session offering insight, tools, and tips in submitting a strong Explore & Create application. This session will also feature guest multimedia artist Roya DelSol, who will share her experience submitting a successful application to the program and offer advice to potential applicants.
Roya DelSol is Black media artist & cultural worker based in Toronto. Working primarily as a lens-based artist, she aims for her work in all spheres to centre and uplift the experiences Black, queer, and marginalized peoples. She creates photographic, video, motion graphic and VR work; capturing Black femme intimacies, strength & joy in hopes of visualizing new, liberated worlds.
