OAC Exhibition Assistance Program

Nia Centre is a Recommender for the 2024-25 Exhibition Assistance Grant Program, administered by the Ontario Arts Council. The Exhibition Assistance program supports Ontario-based artists and artist collectives working in visual arts, craft and media art practices in the presentation of their artwork in a confirmed public exhibition. Through this grant program, artists and collectives can apply for $500 – $2000.

This is a third-party recommender program. Using Nova, OAC’s online grant application system, artists apply to the galleries and organizations designated as recommenders for the program. These recommenders assess applications and submit grant recommendations to OAC.

Nia Centre is prioritizing:

• First-time applicants to the program;
• Project’s capacity to support the applicant’s career development and artistic practice;
• Project’s ability to expand and push Black visual aesthetics and cultural development.
