Adom Acheampong, Program Manager, NIA Centre for the Arts
Adom holds an Honours Degree in Arts and Contemporary Studios from Ryerson University. She has worked in an administrative, producing, mentoring, and advisory capacity within the arts and cultural sector. Prior to NIA Centre, Adom worked as the Program Coordinator at East End Arts, the City’s sixth Local Arts Service Organization, where she worked to transform and deepen the level and impact of community arts programming, while also building robust evaluation and reporting frameworks.
As Program Manager at NIA Centre she works to support, amplify, and advocate for artists of the African Diaspora. Adom currently serves as the Chair of the Decent Work Advisory Committee, an initiative of the Ontario Nonprofit Network that works to improve the quality of life of employees within the nonprofit sector. She also sits on the Fund Development Committee for ArtReach.
Adom is an emerging writer, working primarily within short fiction, and was one of four Writers in Residence at Firefly Creative Writing last year. Her work has been published through Broken Pencil Magazine, and she has read her work at a number of literary events throughout the City, including the Tartan Turban Secret Readings, and the Draft Reading Series.
Scott Pinkney, VP, Executive Creative Director, Publicis Hawkeye
With over 30 years of experience working in New York, the UK and Toronto, Scott is a leading Creative Strategist, Brand Ambassador and Relationship Marketer. In 2015, Scott was brought into Publicis to launch Hawkeye, a new 1:1 Customer Engagement Practice. Scott brings his extensive experience and deep understanding of consumer insights, creative strategy and data intelligence to drive powerful marketing ideas.
Over the course of his career, Scott has worked at some of the industry’s biggest agencies, including Ogilvy, FCB, BBDO Proximity and Publicis Hawkeye. He’s also launched two agencies and had the privilege of judging the inaugural Direct category at the Cannes Festival of Creativity. Scott has co-chaired numerous CMA Conferences, spoken at over a dozen industry events, judged over 50 industry awards and won an impressive array of industry awards. He currently sits on the Board of Governors for the ANA International Echo Awards.
What’s more, Scott’s creativity isn’t reserved for his clients; he is also an accomplished fine artist and his abstract paintings have been exhibited in the U.S.
