The purpose of this survey is:
We understand that circumstances are changing day-by-day; sometimes, hour-by-hour. We have been in touch with several artists working across a wide variety of disciplines, however we want to be able to hear from as many artists as possible. Given the rapidly changing circumstances, you are welcome to respond to this survey more than once to keep us up to date as your experience and needs change.
We are committed to supporting Afro-diasporic artists living and working within the GTA and in order to do this, we seek to present informed, responsive, and impactful solutions within our capacity.
Changes are being made everyday at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels to respond to the needs of artists during this pandemic. In order to ensure that the voices and needs of Afro-diasporic arts & cultural workers are being considered when these decisions are being made, we will be sharing highlights from this survey with funders and policy makers, include the Toronto and Ontario Arts Councils, the Canada Council for the Arts, and others.
