Having an external recommender for Black-Canadian artists like the Nia Centre who are committed to expanding and pushing Black visual aesthetics and cultural development was encouraging as a first-time applicant to the Exhibition Assistance program. The application process was simple and accessible, and this funding will contribute in a significant way to the presentation of my first solo exhibition in the coming months!Chiedza Pasipanodya 2023 Exhibition Assistance Recipient

Through this grant program, artists and collectives can apply for $500 – $2000.
This is a third-party recommender program. Using Nova, OAC’s online grant application system, artists apply to the galleries and organizations designated as recommenders for the program. These recommenders assess applications and submit grant recommendations to OAC.
