Want to learn how to start your own podcast?

Register today to participate in this three-part workshop series, facilitated by Radio Personality Nicole Inica Hamilton. A Guide to the Episode will teach emerging artists who have an interest in podcasting about the preliminary aspects of production prep, editing and hosting in preparation for their podcasting journey.

This workshop series is ideal for artists or youth who are interested in podcasting between the ages of 14-29. Spaces are limited. Deadline to Register: March 10th, 2021 | 11: 59pm

Mentorship Session Dates and Times

All workshops will run from 5pm – 7pm

Session On: Production Prep

In this session participants will learn about concept development, structure, program format and theme development. The facilitator will also provide techniques, tools and strategies for dialogue and recording

Session Two: Editing

In this session, the Facilitator will provide an overview of audio editing- from editing on platform source to audio processes, compression, equalization and more. Participants will learn how to be an intuitive editor.

Session Three: Hosting

In this session, participants will explore podcasting hosting, file management and overall presentation and delivery of content


Nicole Inica Hamilton is the founder and Artistic Director of Inica Dance Industries. A certified educator and member of Dance Masters of Canada and Dance Masters of America, Hamilton has served as a guest teacher, mentor and speaker at institutes across Canada including but not limited to; George Brown College, University of Toronto, York University and University of Calgary.

Hamilton is the recipient of numerous awards in the dance competition sector, and provides both advisory, and adjudication support for competitive dance organizations across North America. As a touring Educator and Speaker, she has presented in national and international conventions and championships including; The Toronto Dance Teacher Expo, Creation Dance Championships (USA), the Performing Arts Medicine Association and more. Hamilton has performed, and choreographed for several major musicals, and dramatic theatre productions. Selected credits include; Who’s that dancing (2009), Private Pain in Public Pews (2012), Pieces of Me (2013), The Singers (2014), and To Jane with Love (2016).
