Join us for a collage workshop with our Artist-in-Residence.
Our Artist-in-Residence, Ehiko Odeh, will be presenting an artist talk where she’ll walk audiences through her personal & artistic background and journey before inviting them to join her in a collage workshop, exploring your inner child and creative side, featuring sounds by 999ADJ, former facilitator of our Behind the Decks DJ program.
In Ehiko’s words: “Collage making has always been an intuitive and natural form of expression for me, offering a creative outlet when I seek a break from painting. Over the years, I have leaned on the technique that harmonizes the use of similar colours. My process is experimental, calming and freeing, giving me space to explore visual storytelling without the pressure of sticking to traditional methods. Each piece becomes a natural back-and-forth between intention and happy accidents.“

Ehiko Odeh is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher from Lagos, Nigeria. In her practice, she explores how globalization shapes coiffure traditions, food access, and family structures, reflecting economic realities. Using archival materials Ehiko’s creative process relies on play and experimentation as a pathway for growth. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a minor in Creative Writing from OCAD University (2021). She has exhibited at, BAND Gallery, Nicholas Metivier, Gallery 44, XPACE Cultural Centre.
