On Thursday February 19th, 2026, we will be screening a selection of short films! The featured shorts explore memory, place and cycles of becoming- how personal and communal histories shape identity, movement and ways of seeing the world.

FEATURED FILMS

(1) CYCLES – Directed by Alex Eskandarkhah

(2) Scarborough Stories – Directed by Alicia Reid

(3) Zeta Project- Directed by Sochima

(4) Drawing with Light- A film by Selina McCallum

Total Runtime: 1hr, 5 minutes

At the end of the films, you will have an opportunity to hear from filmmakers who will be conversation with Selina McCallum


About the Series

Niaflix: A Night at the Centre is a monthly movie night series that centers movies, films and black storytellers that showcase Black Artistic Expression. Featuring carefully curated films by filmmaker Selina McCallum each night will transport you through stories that blend nostalgia, art, and culture, giving you that cozy Netflix vibe right at Nia Centre.
