Youth Programs & Mentorship

Since 2009, Nia Centre has provided Black youth with the opportunity to explore a wide range of creative pathways.

Our youth programming offers a wide range intensive learning opportunities, fun artistic workshops and arts-based camps.

Ongoing Programs

MULTIDISCIPLINARY
Mentor Match
Mentor Match is a FREE mentorship program designed to build meaningful connections between young people ages 14-29 and caring, professional mentors. Through creativity, guidance, and shared experiences, Mentor Match helps youth discover their strengths, explore opportunities, and gain the tools they need to succeed in life.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY
The Pull Up
The Pull Up is a drop-in, afterschool program that provides young creatives between the ages of 12-18 the space to experiment with different art disciplines every week, connect with like-minded youth and explore Black artistic traditions.

Beyond the Books
Our Beyond the Books program provides you the opportunity to bring Black history, traditions and art into your classrooms. Through a wide range of art-based workshops, our program allows student to engage in artistic experiences while building their knowledge of historic and current contributions of Black Canadians and Black artists.

Black By Design
Black By Design is a multidisciplinary introductory program, dedicated to exposing young and emerging creatives to the Urban Planning, Architecture, and Interior Design sectors.
