Looking for a third space to create? Nia Centre is piloting their Creative Hub initiative.
Creative Hub is designed specifically for young creatives to access the exclusive spaces at Nia Centre to gain a dynamic and communual learning environment, nurture their creativity, facilitate resource access and peer to peer knowledge exchange.
Through the three different streams; Open Studio, Skills Labs, and Community Conversations, Creative Hub will provide young creatives with resources, connections and support in the pursuit of accomplishing their creative goals.
Creative Hub will be held every Wednesday from 6pm – 9pm, starting on Wednesday May 1st, 2024.
What are the 3 streams of Creative Hub?
Stream 1: Open Studio
Open Studio is a curated space for young Black creatives to create and work on their own independent projects. Note: These sessions are not workshops.
Open Studio Dates: May 1st and May 8th 2024
Stream 2: Skills Labs
Skills Labs are designed to help facilitate and refine the technical and skill development of young creatives. Skills Labs will be discipline specific.
Skills Labs Dates: May 15th and May 22nd, 2024
Stream 3: Community Conversations
Community Conversations are designed to break the 4th wall of the creative industry. These conversations will be led by a Creative Connect mentor and facilitate learning and knowledge exchange among participants

Who is Creative Hub for?
As Creative Hubs is a pilot initiative, we will be prioritizing young creatives between the ages of 18- 29 from the following disciplines.
– Photography
-Visual Arts
-Creative Writing
Theatre and Performance
– Digital Arts, including animation
– Dance
