Save Your Spot for this Summer

Our Summer Series programs have been a longstanding offering from Nia Centre for the Arts. Each summer since 2009, we’ve invited youth to explore various artistic disciplines with guidance from local Black artists and creatives. This summer, youth have the opportunity to visit their local Black arts centre at 524 Oakwood Ave in Little Jamaica to explore the arts!

Summer Series features a weekly selection of intensive programming for youth ages 12-18. Each week, participants will explore a different creative discipline and build their technical skills through hands-on learning. Youth will be guided each week by a professional artist and a youth worker, who will help them build both artistic, leadership and personal skills in this dynamic and supportive group setting. At the end of each week, participants will share their creations with friends and family in a small showcase.
